Description
Land1 was a startup company; a travel agency based in Iran, which offered tour packages including the ticket, hotel, and tour guide. I was asked to do the branding design for this organization. This project consists of logo design, stationery design, and credit card design.
Process
First I did some sketches containing picto-logo and type-logo for Land1 according to the background and the company goals. I sketched the head of a horse with some lines to show that it is flying; horse is one of the animals whose has been used since ancient art history so far in Iran. One of the symbolic meaning of horse is “going beyond the borders and bindings”. In another sketch I used the curved lines covered the shape of a sphere to show the globe. The other sketches are the ancient wing, the abstract sketch using two “1” that are holding a circle showing the world, and a logo-type with some leaves on the left. The Land1 team liked the alter the most. A leaf represents happiness as an ancient belief, and more leaves even make so much more happiness. I used more than 1 leaf to show spreading happiness by Land1 tours for people who are looking for a travel package to have a delightful and peaceful trip.
The Persian type-logo is used in stationery design as the Land1 team asked for. Then I designed the business cards for all the staff, the letterhead, and envelope. I designed a “Shamseh” for the Credit Cards in Matrix, representing a traditional, Iranian element, meaning “of the sun”.
