Description
Furnish Concept Plus is an online furniture store based in Vancouver, Canada. In this project I was asked to design a type-logo for Furnishplus with my selective colour scheme.
Process
First, I brainstormed for the furniture logo, then sketched a few thumbnails for the term “Furnishplus”. The “Furniture” and “Plus” were two concepts in my mind when designing the logo. I played with the weight, and made the “Plus” thicker, while I maintained the “Furnish” light to establish an appropriate contrast in the font. Then, I worked on different forms of attaching these two words together in a way the result looks nice, and well-structured. The client was satisfied with the idea and the selective typeface. Then, I worked on the “Plus” sign as the period for “i” in “Furnish”, and used the abstract form of two chairs from the side in my design. Finally, the first two images in Result section were shown to the client, and they liked the last one, the most (The last logo, in the second image on the right).
