Description
“NohGhooch” Studio was established in 2012. It was my personal atelier to work on the freelance graphic design projects, paintings, and holding painting classes. It was closed in 2015 due to my immigration to Canada. NohGhooch–Noh Ghooch, in Persian means Nine Rams. Nine for my number, and Ram is my zodiac sign, which is also my favourite animal for its beautiful and majestic horns. Ram, in terms of animal symbolism illustrates determination, action, initiative, and leadership.
Process
I decided to illustrate a person with ram horns on head to indeed portray myself as a painter and designer. With this idea, I started to sketch as many rams and horns as I could to reach to a good position for the horns and the face. The sketches were done from the real pictures of rams to see what they really look like in different positions. Then it was time to put together all the ideas and sketches, and make decision about the final image of the Artist Ram. The whole project is done in Illustrator.
