WHO I AM

Hi there! My name is Mahtab Eiva. I’m a Web/Graphic Designer and Fine Artist. Welcome to my portfolio!

My digital design knowledge has been updated, as I took the “New Media Design and Web Development” program from BCIT, which is great evolution in my educational and professional path; the program provided me with numerous skills like information architecture, UI and UX design, graphic design, branding and many more.

Today, aside from my painting projects, I am pursuing my career path as a Graphic Designer, while developing my newly acquired skill sets.

I was a young teen when started out as a Painter and wanted my art to bring to light women’s issues which has given me joy to express.

Having been blessed with the opportunity to exhibit my art in galleries in France, Iran and Canada and sell my paintings, was a dream come true.

As a creative individual and out of the box thinker, who goes wild over creative design projects, my highly organized nature compliments the requirements for methodical planning.

My bachelor’s degree in “Visual Communications” was a mix of studio-based visual arts and graphic design, with the focus being on the latter. The program allowed me to explore my creativity in many disciplines like painting, sculpture, illustration and manual print. Besides the traditional hands-on work production, I learned Adobe software applications that let me experiment with various advertising and branding digital projects, which gave me the confidence to work as a freelance Graphic Designer. I designed theatre posters, logos and office stationery sets as a freelancer when I was a student.

Teaching art to second and third graders in a private school for 3 years, along with designing the school’s banners, posters and monthly magazines has been one of the most rewarding jobs that I have accomplished in my professional life.
